The Prime focus is to ensure innovation in teaching-learning methodologies by devising student-friendly and student-centered paradigms, reforms in examinations and evaluation practices, skill learning by adding job-oriented and job linked inputs and regularly updating the pedagogical skills of teachers and administrators by conducting in-service training programmes, workshops, etc.

Welcome to New Horizon School

The school is located in the midst of lush green and sprawling fields adjacent to Tomb in the Hazrat Nizamuddin. The school building has been divided into A, B, C, D, E and F blocks and consists of all the infrastructure required for a modern school. There are two computer labs, one each for junior and senior sections, computer education is compulsory from class 3rd onwards. At senior secondary level our students study computer as an optional subject. NHS is one of the first schools in starting computer education. It’s a must for all the faculties to the computer savvy and Internet savvy.

Started with 22 students and 2 teachers in 1978-79, this school has reached Senior Secondary level offering multiple streams and choice of subjects in various streams. New Horizon School has been producing one of the best results in Secondary & Senior Secondary classes ever since its start. Students are imparted instructions in religious teaching/moral science with modern outlook from 1st std. onwards. Urdu, is also compulsory for all students from 1st std. Onwards. Being a Co-Ed, NHS encourages girl students in admission and gives priority in providing relief in tuition fee.

New Horizon School, an unaided Minority Institution was established with a purpose of producing excellent human being with his/her sound religious development and excellence in academics. The object was to have an institution, which could produce modern professionals with a deep sense of respect for their culture and religion with out having any disregard for other religion. Our aim is to inculcate a strong sense of responsibility, both physical and moral, in order to build a value system through quality education, where by our student should feel confident in facing the complex world which is fast getting reduced to a small village due to marvelous scientific developments. At the same time he/she should have a strong bond with his culture & religion. It is due to this reason that we compulsorily teach Religious/Moral Education fro 1st std. onwards and computer education from 3rd std. onwards. Our primary aim has been a conscious effort to bring the children close to diverse Indian culture through various activities, which will help our students to appreciate and respect the Indian culture as whole and take pride in calling themselves a Muslim and an Indian as well.
